We had a most excellent vacation this Summer in Yellowstone. This time of year it is usually quite hot but this time around the weather was just perfect! A place we always stop at on our way to Yellowstone is Howard Springs. The water is ice cold. We usually fill up any empty water bottles and take a nice long drink before we are on the road again. There were many butterflies around Howard Springs this time and Kayden had such fun trying to catch them. This butterfly was perfectly content to sit in Kayden's hand.
Here is my adorable family sitting by Old Faithful. I can never get them to look at the Camera at the same time! Kayden is pretending to be a chicken, Carson is being goofy and Adison is striking a pose.

One of our favorite things to do this year was to go on a boat ride on Yellowstone Lake. We rented a boat for about an hour and a half and Ryan drove it around. Of course Ryan let all the kids take a turn driving the boat. Here is Adison looking cute in her life jacket.

We camped at the Madison campground. This campground is right by the Madison river. The kids love swimming in this river even though it is a bit cold. Last year they caught frogs, fish and snakes in the river - no such luck this time.

Here is the adorable family once again in Mammoth. We took a break on a picnic table that anyone can see from the parks camera that they have posted on their website. Ryan wanted his parents to be able to see us sitting here.

Inside Mammoth is a fun museam full of stuffed animals. Carson got a kick taking this picture up close of a Mountain Lion.

One of the beautiful pools in Yellowstone. This one is along the scenic Firehole river drive.

My family once again by the Firehole Lake.

Well we had a blast. We saw a bunch of various birds, an eagle, an otter, some elk, deer, bison, coyote and a black bear. It was so much fun and enjoyable. We promised ourselves that we will camp somewhere else before we come back here but I don't know if we can keep that promise. We will see.
