StormSwift - Madeline Brent

Just finished reading another book - Yea Me! I really really liked this book. It is a historical romance with a very good story line. I think I need to read some more books by Madeline Brent. I am not sure what my next book will be, but I will find one soon.

Good Morning

Well it is morning here and we have settled in our usual routine.

-Wake
-Eat Breakfast
-Have kids do chores
-Listen to them fight the rest of the day over who get to play or watch something
-Certain friend comes over
-Send friend home and Eat Lunch
-Friend comes over
-Send friend home and go on errands
-Friend comes over
-Listen to more arguing
-Send friend home because its time for dinner
-Friend keeps asking me what time he can come over tomorrow (will he ever go away?)

How do you spend your day??

The Long Masquerade by Madeline Brent

This is another book recommended by mom. I found it to be a nice story that kept my attention. It was a light romance with a nice interesting story. I actually would have liked a bit more romance in the book, but it was still good. I am easy to please. I read it in two days.

Yummy Recipes

I finished going through the Food Nanny Rescues Dinner and found that most of the recipes looked delicious and were things that my family would actually eat. Too many cook books out there have weird recipes that my family just won't eat if I make. I borrowed this book from the library and with it coming due I think this is one that I will go out and buy. I liked the concept of the book and can't wait to try many of the recipes.

The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner

I saw this book advertised and put it on hold at the library. It finally came in so this is my next book to read - I was hoping to jump into something romantic but that will have to wait. It looks like it is full of delicious recipes that I can't wait to try out.

Old Videos

I was cleaning off my stuff from my old computer and came across some old videos I took with my camera - no sound comes with these videos. These are my favorite:

Adison crawling - July 2005

Kayden throwing a snowball - Nov. 2005

Peony In Love - Finished

Well I finally finished Peony in love. This took me longer to read them then usual. The last book I read was Hunger Games and the book moved so quickly and I was glued to it. I finished that one in a day and a half. This one took me almost a week. It was a good book and I am glad that my Mom recommended it to me. However, it moved a little too slowly for me and I almost didn't finish it. I just couldn't figure out how it could have a happy ending - and I like happy endings. I never look forward into a book so I made Mom tell me a few things that happened to ensure the happy ending would be there for me. So I finished it last night (at 1:30 in the morning). I did enjoy learning about the different culture and it was inciteful, but I did find myself skipping paragraphs that were pure description of the area. Now what will my next book be??

The Last Few Days

Me and the kids have spent the last few days at my Mom's. This is finals week for Ryan for a Summer class he was taking and he needed some piece and quiet to study. It was a last minute decision to head to moms but I am glad we went because we had some fun. We watched several movies (Transformers and King Arthur) and the kids were spoiled with some cable TV cartoons. I took the kids out to eat and let them play in the play area for hours and then did some shopping. The best part of the visit was playing card games. We played some Uno, Skip-Bo and Golf. We just were so goofy and silly and the kids had such a hard time settling down for bed. I finished my current book - Peony In Love - and will be starting a new one soon. Now I am back home looking at the huge mess I call my home. I better get to work on it.

Uno, Dos, Cinco

Adison always skips the numbers three and four when she is counting. Not sure why - but she does. She has been watching a little too much of Dora the Explorer lately and has picked up a little spanish along the way. So this morning I caught her counting to her dolls in spanish. Uno, Dos, Cinco. I found it funny that she some how skips three and four in spanish as well. Go figure??

A Special Thanks To Lori

Just Because she is so awesome!! Love you Lori!!

Being skinny is overated!

Really I would like to be skinny, but sometimes I think it is not worth it. First you have to restrict your food - Hello! Isn't that why we are on this plan to eat yummy delicious food? Then you have to exercise, enough said!

However much I resist though I must try to get not skinnier but healthier. So this morning I tackled exercise - actually I have done so good all week with my exercise. So I am doing my exercise and am constantly looking over my shoulder to see if my children are laughing at me. I think next time I will make them hang out in another room so they don't distract me. Now I need to go find something yummy - yet healthy to eat.

Hunger Games

Today is a nice rainy day. The perfect day to stay in and read a good book. However, I just spent the last day and a half reading Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Thanks Suzanne for writing such a great book. I also want to thank Sarah for letting me borrow it. I LOVED this book. Here is a link to the book: http://www.suzannecollinsbooks.com/the_hunger_games_69765.htm

If you have read it let me know what you think of it. If not go grab it and read it.

Blogging

I started a blog once but never really got into it. It's been so long and I can't even remember where that blog is. I need to go find all of my families and friends blog and check them. I think blogging intimidates me. I am unsure what I am doing and not very good at graphics, desing and other aspects like that. However, I love reading other people's blogs so I thought I would give this a try again. Hopefully I stick around this time!
